  • Welcome to my blog

Hi there, so glad you dropped by! I’m a wife to a handsome man, full time mum of two gorgeous kids, and part time photographer. This is my spot to share some of my work as well as some of beautiful stories about all the amazing people I've been so fortunate to meet. It’s also a space for me to brag about my beautiful kids and hunky husband – so they feature quite a bit. I love, love, (did I mention love) photographing people and my area of specialisation is in children's and childhood photography. Have a look, drop a comment and get in touch.

PROJECT 52 WEEK 2 FAIRY DUST

So I had week 2 of Project 52 all lined up and ready to go, but then I got working on some images from a fairy princess birthday party shoot I did recently and I completely fell in love with this one. A little princess, with sparkly fairy dust in hand, eyes shut tight and toes curled up, making her very own party wish. Just magic!

PROJECT 52 WEEK 1 – MY LITTLE BOY

Nathan has the biggest laugh; from the time he was the tiniest little tot, he would make everyone laugh with his laugh. I have warm fuzzy memories of lying next to him on the floor in his room, with the warm afternoon sun washing over us, and me soaking up his infectious giggle. There is a magic in the autumn light, and this shot took me right back to those early days with my little baby boy.

PROJECT 52

For ages I’ve had a whole bunch of image ideas floating around in my head but they all felt a bit random until a friend told me about a friend of his who had embarked on a project 365. My knee jerk (yes excuse making) reaction was to say that I’d wanted to do the same, but bet his friend didn’t have kids. Wrong, she has four – serious excuse killer! So, after a well-deserved kick in the pants I realised that this is the perfect project to bundle up all my random ideas and inspirations, and an opportunity to continue my learning journey doing something that I absolutely love!

I am going to be kind to myself and take it down a notch, so even though it’s not quite an image a day, it’s an image a week. So … here I am at the beginning, WEEK 1 of my very own project 52! Thank you so much to all my family and friends for your support, advice, and encouragement.

I HEART FACES – HUGS AND KISSES

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this week’s I Heart Faces challenge and for the first time in a while I’m not dashing with a last minute entry. I shot this towards the end of last year during fundraiser photo week at Godfrey Street Community House Childcare. After taking all the kids’ individual photos we decided to do best friends and this is one of my favourites. The two in this photo are the best of buddies and this shot was completely spontaneous and couldn’t be more appropriate for this week hugs and kisses theme.
